David and Annie’s relationship

David and Annie first appeared on season 5 of 90 Day Fiance. They met at a karaoke bar when David was dwelling in Thailand. They initially had quite a lot of points, the most important of which being David’s monetary troubles. But they’ve gotten by all of these issues and now are simply pleased being collectively.

“I was not in a good place in 2013 and Annie obviously is just the best thing in my life, the best decision, and together we feel like we can take on the world,” David advised Entertainment Tonight. “And we’re traveling and cooking for people, doing a lot. We’re in a lot better shape. It’s not like we’re wealthy in any stretch of the imagination, but we’re doing a lot of different things for revenue, whether it’s working in catering, whether it’s doing parties, I’m still teaching online and working for a company that has overseas interests, so we’ve been doing so many things.”

Harsh feedback

The creators of 90 Day Fiance determined to do a derivative present, 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined to point out how the {couples} are doing throughout the disaster. During their phase on a current episode, the couple shared some troubling information.

“One of the things, going out with Annie when we leave the condo, is because we have had threatening messages and very anti-Asian messages, I do worry for her,” David mentioned. “We live in a world right now where people are looking to express their anger toward others because they’re not happy with what’s going on. Who is happy? Nobody wanted to be in this situation. It is how we react to it that will define us as people.”

“Sometimes, going out with you right now, I don’t feel safe,” David advised her.

“That’s why I like Asian markets, because all the Asian people here, nobody looks down on each other,” Annie responded.

David later elaborated on the problems in an interview with HollywoodLife.

“One of the most difficult things is because Annie’s obviously Asian, there has been a lot of hate toward Asians, Asian Americans, and Asian people,” he advised the outlet. “Not just here but all over. Annie got a very nasty direct message and somebody posted on my post on social media with a very racist hateful message.”

But not all of their interactions have been unfavourable. In truth, generally followers get so excited to see them that David and Annie are actually making an attempt to exit individually in an effort to discourage folks from coming as much as them in public.

“We are always together,” he mentioned. “Sometimes I will go to the store and pick up something at the regular market, and Annie doesn’t go with me because when we are together people do recognize us a lot. They forget the social distancing and want to come up to us and take a picture and hug us. We have taken some pictures with people, but it will be a selfie from far away because we love the fans of the show.”
