Yesterday, BJP MP and Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan stated in Lok Sabha that Bollywood has a drug dependancy downside. “Drug addiction is in the film industry too. Several people have been apprehended. The NCB has been doing very good work. I urge the central government to take strict action against the culprits soon. Give them a befitting punishment and bring an end to this conspiracy by neighbouring countries”, he stated as he spoke in context with the continued NCB probe in alleged drug conspiracy that has come to the fore after Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise

Apalled by the statements made by Ravi Kishan, Samajwadi Party chief and veteran actor Jaya Bachchan, throughout her Rajya Sabha session today, hit again at him for ‘defaming the movie business’. “Jis thali mein khate hai Usme chhed karte hai. Galat baat hai,” Bachchan stated referring to a preferred Hindi proverb which means to chunk the hand that feeds you. Show compassion for us also.”
