Anurag Kashyap has known as out actor and BJP MP Ravi Kishan for his “self-righteous” stand on medication. He has alleged in a current interview that Ravi Kishan himself used weed for the longest time period and everybody who is aware of him is aware of it. 

Anurag informed Faye D’Souza in an interview, that he does not have a problem with Ravi Kishan smoking up however what irks him is that he himself used weed. 

He claimed, “Ravi Kishan acted in my final movie Mukkabaaz. Ravi Kishan begins his day by saying Jai Shiv Shankar, Jai Bam Bhole. Jai shiv Shambhu For the longest interval of his time, he has been someone who has used weed. It is life. Everybody is aware of it. The complete world is aware of. There’s not a single one that doesn’t know that Ravi Kishan doesn’t smoke up. He may need give up now, that he has grow to be a minister, he may need cleaned up. But do you embody that (weed) in medication? I’m not judging Ravi, as a result of I’ve by no means seen weed as a drug. ‘Abuse’ will not be the phrase. He used to smoke up.”

Anurag additional added, “He has always been functional, he has always done his job well, it did not make him dysfunctional, did not make him a monster. It did not do anything that people associate with drugs. So when he talks about it, when he takes a self-righteous stand, I have a problem with that.”


Earlier, Ravi Kishan had lauded NCB and had acknowledged, “We know the problem of drug trafficking and drug addiction is increasing. In this conspiracy, our neighbouring countries are involved… Drugs come to this country via China and Pakistan. Our film industry, too, is affected. The Government should stop this conspiracy of neighbouring countries to destroy our youth.”
