Sahiwal (Sahiwal TV – December 9, 2019 – Aqeel Ashfaq) Learning license issued to faculty members, staff and students through mobile driving license van in collaboration with Punjab Police, Motorway Police and Traffic Police at Comsats University Islamabad, Sahiwal campus.
The purpose of the van was to protect the public from inconvenience and to provide low-cost learning licenses. A seminar on awareness of traffic laws was also organized on this occasion.
Campus Director Prof Dr Saleem Farooq Shaukat and DSP Traffic Pir Riaz Ahmed addressed the students on the traffic awareness seminar. Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat said that the nations that respect the laws are the ones that make progress.
“As Pakistanis we must respect the laws made for the betterment of the society because by following them we can create a peaceful society,” he said. DSP Traffic Pir Riaz Ahmed said that the mobile learning license is being issued in Comsats University which will facilitate the public in the future in more educational institutes.
He said that Punjab Police and Traffic Police are following the motto security with respect so the people should consider the police as their friends and follow the traffic laws. He said that the process of traffic licenses has been made transparent so people can get a driving license without any pressure and bribe.
Faculty members, staff and students praised the mobile van’s move, saying they were too busy to go to obtain a license, but because of the government’s initiative, they have received the facility at their university. They thanked the university administration, the police department and the government.
