Bombay HC grants Kangana, Rangoli safety from arrest& 

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and Rangoli Chandel on Monday moved the Bombay High Court to quash the FIR filed towards them. The two have been accused of making “hatred and communal tension” via their social media post.

In the sisters’ petition filed by advocate Rizwan Siddiquee, it was additionally requested from the courtroom to guard them from any coercive steps by the Mumbai Police. The Bombay HC has now granted Kangana and Rangoli safety from arrest. 

According to a tweet on Live Law, the Bombay HC has directed Mumbai Police to not take any coercive motion towards Kangana and Rangoli. “Bombay High Court directs Mumbai Police @MumbaiPolice to not take coercive action against Kangana Ranaut @KanganaTeam and her sister Rangoli Chandel on the FIR until further orders subject to condition that they appear for recording statement as undertaken,” learn the tweet.

The courtroom additionally posted the matter’s subsequent listening to on January 11, 2021. Another tweet stated that the bench additionally recorded Siddiquee’s submission that Kangana and Rangoli will “not comment in the public domain or tweet/post in social media” in regards to the stated FIR.

The Mumbai Police had issued recent summons to Kangana and Rangoli final week to file their statements on November 23-24. Prior to that, the sisters have been requested to seem on the Bandra police station on October 26-27 and November 9-10.
