Christmas arrangements are finalized in Sahiwal Pakistan

Sahiwal (Sahiwal TV – December 9, 2019 – Aqeel Ashfaq) Deputy Commissioner Zeeshan Javed has said that on Christmas Eve, all departments should perform their duties responsibly so that Christian brothers can celebrate their religious celebrations with zeal and zest. On occasion, the district administration will ensure all possible cleanliness, continuous supply of churches, church security and healthcare facilities, and no shortage will be tolerated in this regard.

He said this while presiding over a meeting of the Interfaith Harmony Committee in his office, in which Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mohammad Farooq Akmal, Allama Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Maulana Muhammad Hasan Masumi, Qari Bashir, Sheikh Ijaz Ahmad Raza and Bishop Ibrahim participated. Great Daniels, Elder Dilbar Jani, Father Naveed, Adeel Daniels and officers from the respective departments also attended.

He said interfaith harmony has been seen in Sahiwal too, adding that the administration is also setting up a cheap Christmas market to provide relief to poor Christians, where all items will be available at affordable prices.

On Christmas Eve, foolproof arrangements would be made to protect all churches so that they could celebrate their events without fear.

At the meeting, the scholars congratulated Christmas and said that Islam teaches peace, love, tolerance and that we all share equally in each other’s sorrow, pain and happiness. They would give Christian brothers every possible opportunity on Christmas Eve and assures cooperation.
