After Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced PM-CARES fund for combat in opposition to coronavirus, celebrity Akshay Kumar was the primary to pledge his assist for a similar. He took to Twitter and introduced that he will probably be contributing Rs 25 crore to PM-CARES fund. Following Akshay Kumar’s footsteps, Varun Dhawan and Ayushmann Khurrana too have introduced their contribution for a similar. 

Varun took to Twitter and introduced that will probably be donating Rs 45 lakh. Out of which Rs 30 lakh will probably be for PM-CARES ans Rs 25 lakh for Maharashtra CM’s reduction fund. He tweeted, “I pledge to contribute 25 lakhs to the Maharashtra CM’s relief fund @OfficeofUT @AUThackeray @CMOMaharashtra. We are with you sir “. 

CMO Maharashtra quote retweeted Varun’s tweet and wrote, “Thank you Varun”. Aditya Thackeray too replied to Varun saying, “Thank you so much @Varun_dvn for this”.

Ayushmann Khurrana, however, did not disclose the quantity he will probably be donating however tweeted, “I’m pledging my support to this noble initiative by PM @narendramodi ji. As a nation, we should all look to contribute to the PM-CARES Fund in the best of our capacity. It will help our nation to support our fellow citizens in distress.” 

Fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee too introduced his contribution to amp up the medical amenities. He has donated Rs 1.5 crore. 

Earlier today, Akshay Kumar had tweeted, “This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodi ji’s PM-CARES Fund. Let’s save lives, Jaan hai toh jahaan hai.” 

PM Modi had replied to Akshay, “Great gesture @akshaykumar. Let’s keep donating for a healthier India.”
