Chip and Joanna Gaines are again with a brand new season of ‘Fixer Upper’

Chip and Joanna Gaines made their announcement in a cute video, as Chip drives Jo to an unknown location. “I saw that you put your hammer and your tool belt in the back,” Joanna says. “What’s that about?”

He’s coy at first, then tells her, “I’m sorry Jo, I’ve got to tell you something. I’ve got a surprise for you. I think you’re going to love it, you’re going to be happy.”

“You always start mad, but then you get happy later,” Chip added. “This is going to be fun.”

He drives as much as a home, telling her to not look — and when he reveals the house, he explains, “I signed us up for one more season of Fixer Upper!”

“I answered the office phone, like you told me never to do,” he joked.

“I’ve kind of missed it,” she admitted. The title “Fixer Upper Coming 2021” provides followers all the data they’ve lengthy been ready for.

Why are they bringing ‘Fixer Upper’ again?

In a weblog post titled “Another Season,” Chip explains what occurred once they ended the present… and why it’s coming again.

“The day we wrapped our last episode of Fixer Upper, we actually believed it was a chapter closed,” he writes. “A bittersweet ending to a season of our lives that we couldn’t have been more grateful for. In that moment, the future was a little uncertain, but Jo and I were sure of a few things. We knew we needed a break and a moment to catch our breath.”

Chip explains that they’ve nonetheless been “tackling renovations and projects that we’ve both been passionate about, including a few really special ones that we can’t wait for you to watch unfold on the network when it launches.”

The choice to deliver Fixer Upper again, Chip admits, was very current. “I mean it when I say that it wasn’t more than a few weeks ago that we first talked about returning to the show. I mentioned it to Jo, fully expecting her to tell me I was crazy. But instead, in a real sincere way, she told me she’d been missing it too.”

He continues, “I get that it all may seem a little impulsive and that might be true. But the more Jo and I talked it over, the more we began to see it for what it really is: an opportunity to get to share with you some of the projects we care most about.”

How will the brand new season of ‘Fixer Upper’ be completely different?

Of course, followers are searching for all the main points they will get and Chip supplies a glimpse in his weblog post. “In a lot of ways, the show is going to pick up right where it left off,” he assures. “These years in between have taught us a lot about ourselves and how we operate best, so we’re likely to do a few things a little differently this time around.”

“We’re gearing up to start filming again, and I’ll be honest, Jo and I feel like a couple of kids trying our best to keep down a few butterflies,” he writes. “But we are mostly just giddy about getting the band back together again so we can share the story of these families and their homes with you.”
