ITBP jawans rocked, waved tricolor at 17,000 ft altitude in -20 diploma temperature

On the event of Republic Day, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans hoisted the nationwide flag in Ladakh, an icy desert, between minus 20 levels Celsius and snowfall at an altitude of 17,000 ft.

Slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai, Vande Mataram echoed within the scorching winter. Video footage of the ceremony emerged exhibiting how the snowmen wore white uniforms and waved the tricolor of their arms.

A complete of 15 ITBP personnel have been honored with medals on this Republic Day in view of their sense of service to the nation. <! –

                 The ITBP Army was shaped on 24 October 1962. Currently, the ITBP is tasked with the safety of the India-China border stretching 3488 km from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachap La in Arunachal Pradesh.
