New Delhi : Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday directed Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik to take strict motion within the matter of taking pictures an individual with a pistol on the protesters close to Jamia Milia Islamia.

Hours later, Shah stated that the particular commissioner of Delhi Police, Praveer Ranjan, would examine the matter. The Home Minister stated that the Central Government won’t tolerate such incidents and the perpetrator won’t be spared. <! –

                 He stated in a tweet, I’ve spoken to the Commissioner of Police of Delhi on the incident of firing in Delhi and instructed them to take strict motion. Shah stated that strict motion will likely be taken on this matter. Later in one other tweet, the Home Minister stated that the investigation into the incident of firing on the protesters in Jamia has been handed over to the Special Commissioner of Delhi Police and he’ll examine the matter in its entirety.

Tension prevailed within the Jamia Nagar space after a bunch of anti-CAA protesters had been fired upon. A pupil of Jamia was injured within the taking pictures, whereas the attacking pupil waving arms amidst the heavy police presence within the space stated, "Here you are." According to the police, the attacker, who claimed to be a Goblet, was taken into custody and is being interrogated.
