For audiences, Bridesmaids stands as one of many funniest, most profitable comedies of the 2010s. The film was so big, the truth is, that for some time, a sequel appeared inevitable. While no follow-up has come collectively, Bridesmaids stays star/co-writer Kristen Wiig’s most beloved hit. Regardless, she prefers to not revisit the film even years later.
Kristen Wiig launched into films after leaving ‘Saturday Night Live’
Wiig joined Saturday Night Live in 2005 and rapidly grew to become one of many present’s standout performers. But following the success of Bridesmaids, Wiig left SNL in 2012. Since then, she has appeared in films as various as The Skeleton Twins, The Martian, and Mother!

But Wiig and co-writer Annie Mumolo’s film coated feminine friendship in a method most Hollywood comedies led by ladies did not.

As it seems, Wiig’s aversion to rewatching Bridesmaids has nothing to do with the film itself. Rather, it’s extra about how she doesn’t like seeing herself on tv. Despite a number of years on SNL, Wiig isn’t a fan of watching her personal materials, she advised InFashion.
“I’ll watch a bit [of Bridesmaids] if I’m channel browsing, however seeing your self on TV is weird,” Wiig admits. “I think, ‘God, I was young.’ Look at my skin.”
Wiig is mostly happy with the film itself, although she admitted there’s one sequence she’s not a fan of. According to the actor, the studio pushed for the well-known meals poisoning scene in Bridesmaids. As the only occasion of gross-out humor within the film, it is sensible it wasn’t a part of the unique imaginative and prescient.
