LAHORE (Sahiwal Tv – December 7, 2019 – Zohaib) Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and senior leader of PML-N, has filed a petition in Lahore High Court seeking removal her name from ECL. In the petition, Maryam Nawaz has sought permission to go abroad for six weeks while the court has also approved the hearing on Monday.
According to details, Maryam Nawaz has filed a petition in Lahore High Court seeking her name be removed from the Exit Control List. The petition request that she be allowed to go abroad for six days and remove her name from ECL.
In her plea filed through her lawyer, Maryam Nawaz added that her name was entered in the ECL without notice. She said she was suffering from depression due to her father’s illness.
“He needs me and I take care of Nawaz Sharif after my mother’s death. Nawaz Sharif relies on me. I should be allowed to travel abroad for six days until the final decision is made and the passport should be returned.”
The federal government, the chairman NAB and others have been noticed in the petition. Lahore High Court has approved the petition of Maryam Nawaz Sharif and will hold a two-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najafi on Monday.
It may be recalled that during the Chaudhry Sugar mill case, Maryam Nawaz’s passport was taken on the direction of the court.
Earlier, her father Mian Nawaz Sharif also approached the Lahore High Court for removal his name from the ECL on which the decision came in his favor.
