Micro Fiction Conference held at Sahiwal Arts Council

Sahiwal (Sahiwal Tv – December 10, 2019 – Aqeel Ashfaq) A one-day international micro-fiction conference was organized by Sahiwal Arts Council and Inhamak International Forum, with delegates from different countries besides Pakistan.

The opening session of this conference, consisting of three sessions, first was set up as “microfiction  as a genre”, second “micro-fiction critical review” and the last session titled ” Poetry and Mushaera”.

Mohammad Farooq Akmal Additional Commissioner (General) described the conference as very successful and excellent, saying such events lead to increase the reputation of Sahiwal.

Literary people connected with different disciplines and ideologies foster serious social debate by creating an atmosphere of dialogue that plays a vital role improving society.

Delegates of the conference included Prof. Jamil Ahmed Adeel (Lahore), Talat Zahra (Canada), Azhar Hameed (Sweden), Hameed Qaiser (Islamabad), Shafqat Mahmood (Karachi), Neelam Ahmed Bashir (Lahore), Farhin Chaudhry (Islamabad). ), Nadeem Majid (Khanewal) and several other writers were also participated.

The delegation praised Sahiwal Arts Council’s literary and cultural activities, saying that the role of Dr. Riaz Hamdani Director Sahiwal Arts Council in introducing Sahiwal as a literary center worldwide was commendable.
