NAB maintains three charges for the arrest of PMLN Leader Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD (Sahiwal Tv – December 24, 2019 – Zohaib Butt) The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has presented the PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal to Islamabad’s Accountability Court of Judge Muhammad Bashir, where the NAB informed the court of the reasons for his arrest.

NAB document states 3 reasons for the arrest of Ahsan Iqbal, the document alleges that:

1.The cost of the project has been increased from Rs. 340 million to Rs. 970 million, without getting approval from a competent authority or forum to increase the cost. The CDWP does not approve the extension of the scope of the project and it is malicious to do so without getting their approval.

2.The document states that the project was started without a viable study listed in the Planning Commission’s Development Manual, Effective study is needed to increase the scope of the cost of over 50 million.

3.The project was handed over to Punjab Sports Board on March 15, 2019. Despite the project being handed over by Ahsan Iqbal, he spends Federal Government funds on it.

The accountability court has passed the 13-day physical remand of Ahsan Iqbal in the Narowal Sports City Complex case and handed him over to the NAB.
