One Direction Fans Want a Reunion After the Band Returned to Instagram and Twitter For Their 10th Anniversary

One Direction followers lit up Instagram and Twitter when the band teased one thing nice for his or her 10-year anniversary. The group has remained silent on each social media platforms for the previous few years. So naturally, Directioners had been met with a wave of feelings after they noticed the brand new post. Some followers are even holding onto hope for a One Direction reunion. But no matter occurs subsequent, it’s clear everybody is able to make a journey down reminiscence lane on July 23.

It’s been a decade since Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik fashioned One Direction on The X Factor. The group was an immediate hit with audiences, delivering 5 stable albums. Then the band went on an prolonged hiatus in March 2016, months after Malik introduced his exit. Meanwhile, the members pursued solo initiatives.

A day earlier than One Direction’s 10-year anniversary on July 23, the band’s official Twitter account tweeted for the primary time in two years. 

“Tomorrow! You and me got a whole lot of history #10YearsOf1D,” the caption learn, referencing 2015’s “History.”

Following the 10-year anniversary posts on Instagram and Twitter, One Direction followers took over the social media platforms to specific their pleasure and gratitude.

“I wasn’t prepared for this,” a Directioner wrote on Twitter. “Alexa play ‘Heart Attack’ by One Direction.”

“Happy 10 years One Direction,” another fan wrote. “Thank you for everything. I love you all so much.”

For now, followers will simply have to attend and see whether or not the members of One Direction reunite for his or her 10-year anniversary. But again in April 2020, Payne hinted the band reconnected to arrange for the large celebration.

“We’ve got a ten-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice,” the singer instructed The Sun. “To hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting.”

He continued, “There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around. But more than anything it’s just been a real good time for us to connect together again.”
