President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday conferred the 'Nari Shakti Puraskar 2019' to 15 girls who’ve made extraordinary and memorable contributions to girls empowerment and society on the event of International Women's Day. Apart from Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, senior officers of the ministry and dignitaries had been current on the ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Women receiving the glory embody Padala Bhudevi of Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh, Bina Devi of Munger in Bihar, Arifa Jaan of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, Chami Murmu of Saraikela Kharswan Rajnagar in Jharkhand, Nilja Wangmo of Leh in Ladakh, Rashmi Urdhwares of Pune in Maharashtra, Sardani Mankour of Patiala in Punjab, Kalavati Devi of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Tashi of Dehradun and Uttarakhand Awarded Nari Shakti Award 2019 to Janshi Malik, Kaushiki Chakraborty of Kolkata in West Bengal, Bhagirathi Amma Karthayini of Alappuzha Kollam in Kerala and Avni Chaturvedi of Madhya Pradesh, Rewa, Bhavana Kanth of Bihar Darbhanga and Mohana Singh of Uttar Pradesh, Agra within the Indian Air Force Gone. <! –

Ampuzha Kollam's Bhagirathi Amma in Kerala couldn’t come to Rashtrapati Bhavan to obtain the award as a result of outdated age.
