President praises the judiciary for transferring forward on the aim of gender justice

new Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday praised the efforts of the Indian judiciary to maneuver ahead on the 'aim of gender justice' and stated that the Supreme Court has at all times been 'energetic and progressive'. At the International Judicial Conference 2020 on 'Judiciary and the altering world', the President stated that the apex courtroom has led 'progressive social change'.

He referenced the two-decade-old Visakha tips that had been applied to stop sexual harassment of ladies on the office. <! –

                 Kovind stated, "If you give an example, the Supreme Court has always been active and progressive to achieve the goal of gender justice."

"From issuing guidelines two decades ago to stop sexual harassment at the workplace, to issuing directives this month to give equal status to women in the military, the Supreme Court has led progressive social change," he stated.
