Noted movie and TV actress Ashalata Wabgaonkar is not any extra. Wabgaonkar, 79, breathed her final this morning in Satara, Maharashtra. She was recognized with coronavirus and was admitted to the hospital a couple of days in the past. However, her situation deteriorated and she or he succumbed to COVID-19 earlier today.
Wabgaonkar, who had labored in over 100 Marathi films, was admitted to a non-public hospital in Satara in a vital situation 4 days in the past. The Goa-born actress is survived by her son.

Marathi actor Ajinkya R Deo wrote, “Goshhh Ashalata wabgaonkar who played my mother in film Maherchi sadi and many more is no more cannot believe it may she rest in peace such a nice lady and lovable person just can’t believe she is no more. RIP.”
Yesteryear’s famend actor-comedian Ashok Saraf, who can also be a well-liked title within the Marathi movie trade, expressed his shock whereas speaking to ETimes. Saraf who referred to as Wabgaonkar his “godsister” recalled how the two made their appearing debut collectively within the Marathi leisure trade. “She played a lead role and was also honoured with the best actress award in Maharashtra State Competition for her debut. We both took training under Fimmaker Gopinath Savkar. Savkar was our guru and Ashalata is like my god sister. So, I have lost my godsister today,” he stated.
