Saudi Embassy Denies News about Pressurizing Pakistan

Islamabad (Sahiwal Tv – December 21, 2019 – Zohaib) Saudi embassy denies news of Saudi Arabian pressure on Pakistan, saying that news of pressure and intimidation on Pakistan is false and baseless.

According to details Saudi Embassy has issued a declaration on the non-participation of Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur. “We have deep strategic relations, Saudi Arabia has been and will remain with Pakistan in difficult times.”

It should be noted that yesterday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Saudi Arabia had threatened Imran Khan to send back Pakistani labors working in KSA and recruite Bengalis in place of them, which prevented Imran Khan from attending the Kuala Lumpur summit.

In an interview given to the Turkish newspaper ‘Daily Sabah’ yesterday, the Turkish president said he would have been happy if Pakistan and Indonesia had also attended the Kuala Lumpur Summit. He said that this was not the first time that Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates pressured other countries to do or not to do anything.

The Turkish president said it was unfortunate that Saudi Arabia pressured Pakistan, that they will withdraw their money from the Central Bank of Pakistan. At present, Pakistan is facing severe financial difficulties, so it is compulsory to face such threats, the same has happened to Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Office of Pakistan says that due to the concerns of the major Muslim countries could not participate in the Kuala Lumpur Summit.
