Sahiwal (Sahiwal Tv – November 22, 2019 – Aqeel Ashfaq) Commissioner Sahiwal Division Nadeem-ur-Rehman has said that a shelter home will be constructed in Sahiwal to provide housing to the displaced persons, for which the project has been started at Jogi Chowk where valuable land has been allocated.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is serious about providing shelter to the homeless and meeting their needs, and construction of the shelter home is an important step toward the realization of this dream.
He said this while addressing a meeting in his office that reviewed the pace of work on various development projects in the division –
Deputy Commissioner Okara Maryam Khan, Deputy Commissioner Pakpattan Ahmed Kamal Maan, Director Development Hafiz Anis-ur-Rehman, ADC Finance Sahiwal Mohammad Farooq Sadiq and Deputy Director Development Imran Khan were also attended by the officers.
He urged the officers to speed up the work to complete the schemes in a timely manner so that the common people could benefit from their benefits sooner.
The meeting also approved to initiate further projects with the savings from developmental schemes of 2018-19 under which 5 and 9 projects will be completed in Sahiwal and Pakpattan district respectively. The identification process for new projects will also be completed soon.
The meeting was informed that in the district Sahiwal Rs. 420 million saved whereas Rs. 85 million saved in Okara district.
The meeting also approved the payment of Rs. 16.84 million for the projects completed in 2017-18 under the SGD program.
