Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and Delhi Waqf Board President Amanatullah Khan has given a disputed assertion about Tahir Hussain, the principle accused within the North-East Delhi riot, saying that he (Tahir) is dealing with the punishment of being a Muslim.
Khan tweeted on Saturday, saying, 'Today Tahir Hussain is just serving the sentence that V is a Muslim. Perhaps the most important crime in Hindustan today is to be Muslim, it can be proved within the coming instances that Tahir Hussain has dedicated the violence in Delhi.

Councilor Tahir Hussain, suspended from AAP's Nehru Vihar ward, was arrested by the Delhi Police's Crime Branch on Thursday in reference to these riots and is at the moment in seven days of police custody.
