Midge throws all people off-kilter. That’s what she does. You type of get swept up on this storm of Midge Maisel. She’s so charming and he or she’s so charismatic and clever and gifted that the whirlwind wins.
When all of that expertise, intelligence, and appeal will get on a stand-up stage, the outcomes are magical — though Midge is often simply speaking about her day, or her week. It doesn’t have to be extra high-brow for her, because the actor advised Variety.

And her comedy will all the time be drawn from her life and what she’s experiencing in that given second, or what she skilled earlier that day, or what she skilled earlier that 12 months.
Midge stands in stark distinction to what many different comics of the period would do — as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 1 pointed to, many comedians would merely copy others’ jokes. But her private contact is what makes the principle character stand out in her occupation.
“That’s her secret weapon,” Brosnahan revealed. “That’s what she’s good at, and I don’t think that’s going to change.”
