new Delhi: Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Sunday mentioned that Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) is not going to increase tuition charges for any course for the tutorial 12 months 2020-21.

The minister mentioned, "After consultation with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the IIT Council and the directors of the IITs, it was decided that these institutes would not increase tuition fees for any course in the academic year 2020-21."

He mentioned, "In the case of IIIT, it has been determined that 10 % improve in tuition charges for undergraduate programs is not going to be applied this 12 months in establishments that are centrally funded. <! –

Nishank mentioned, "Along the same lines, I have requested the IIITs operating under public-private partnership not to increase tuition fees for any of their courses in the coming academic year."
